I am a PhD candidate research assistant at the Mineralogy-Petrography Division in Hacettepe University Dept. of Geological Engineering and expect to defend my PhD dissertation by May 2022. I produce, analyse, and interpret a combination of mineralogical, petrographical, and geochemical data sets to investigate the dynamic evolution of magmas and simulation of sub-volcanic processes. I am also proficient in conducting intensive field studies, providing computational modelling, preparing various specimens for distinct analytical methods, petrographical examination and writing reports for a wide variety geological specimens and maintenance and operations of some state of art techniques (SEM-EDS & X-Ray μ-CT). My post-graduate studies mainly focus on modelling magma evolution and characterising evolutionary stages of magma and crystal cargo. Beyond my postgraduate studies during the several research projects, I contributed to intense field studies and geological mapping of Cappadocia Region, low T/P synthesis, characterisation and rule-based identification of alteration minerals, monitoring disintegration rates and predict possible impact areas of fibrous zeolites through laboratory based weathering experiments and air dispersion models (Hysplit), respectively. I also participated in the applications of some analytical examinations as quantifying fibrous materials by phase-contrast microscope, X-Ray μ-CT examinations on fixated analogue caldera model and analysis of XRD and FTIR patterns for various alteration minerals. Advanced applications of rule-based algorithms and machine learning technique/s are other areas that I desire to further utilise for future mineralogical and petrological research. I have also been fortunate to obtain long-term teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels through field camps,laboratory courses of mineralogy & petrography, laboratory applications of SEM-EDS & X-Ray Micro-CT at the Hacettepe University Dept. of Geological Engineering and Core Facilities. Software as MATLAB, Python, and ArcGIS enables me to handle analysing and visualising complex data sets effectively. I have also participated in a series of worldwide congresses and training programs to improve my understanding of research subjects that my interested in and develop my technical skills in Austria, Italy, South Africa, and Belgium as a presenter and participant.
