I have 20 years of IT experience; 18 years of experience managing technical program development of a product suite throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design to release using Scrum. I hold an MBA in Finance and have developed SaaS and enterprise-level products. Here's a snapshot:2020: Developed a machine learning application for object detection in photos, creating a family album based on fingerprint changes over time. This required extensive model training and novel use of camera technology and OpenCV.2021: For a client, I built a knowledge graph application that scrapes data from social media to overlay on news events. Facing challenges with publicly available tools, I created a custom screen scraping tool using Java, ensuring reliability and overcoming site blocking.2023: Launched two major AI projects: - An offline Chat-GPT service built with open-source tools, designed to function without internet connectivity. This project presented unique challenges in AI performance optimization under limited compute resources. - A secure workspace for teams and individuals to upload and query their data, safeguarding against external data biases, copyright issues, and ensuring data confidentiality. I used Streamlit for front-end development, Amazon Redshift for data querying, Pinecone for vector database management, and the OpenAI API GPT 3.5-Turbo-16K model. I overcame the limitations of API context windows with creative solutions, enabling deep searches across large datasets, such as querying 11,000 scientific archaeology PDFs.My journey also highlights my leadership skills, honed through global remote team collaboration, co-founding businesses, and leading cross-functional teams as a Product Manager.
