Eric is the Vice President of Audit Services (Chief Audit Executive) at Compeer Financial. He leads the organization’s Internal Audit and Internal Credit Review teams, responsible for creating and implementing the risk-based audit and loan review programs.Prior to joining Compeer Financial he was Senior Vice President in Corporate Audit Services over all wealth and asset management activities at U.S. Bank. While at U.S. Bank, he also worked on the Corporate Treasury team as the third line risk owner for interest rate risk. His duties at the Bank also included overseeing a large multi-year project for assessing the Bank’s LIBOR transition and a $100+ Billion acquisition and integration of another large bank.Prior to joining U.S. Bank, he held progressive audit and leadership positions at one of the largest pension funds in the U.S. and Bank of Montreal (BMO), one of the ten largest banks in North America. Eric is a Certified Internal Auditor and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Finance from Western Illinois University and previously held a Series 65, Life & Health licenses and a Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation. He also co-founded Champions for Cures, an organization that raises money for cancer research and patient support.Eric has been a featured panelist at the SIFMA Internal Audit Annual Conference and the Institute of Internal Auditors Financial Services Exchange.
