Community Engagement Specialist At Senior Resource Center
Current‣ Cultivating Relationships: building and maintaining partnerships with diverse communities to enhance accessibility to vital resources, programs, and services for older adults in the county.‣ Community Advocate: serving as a proactive advocate for older adults, prioritizing their diverse needs and ensuring their voices are heard within community discussions and initiatives. ‣ Content Developer: collaborating with team members to develop engaging content for social media, educational events, publications, and the organization's website.‣ Metrics Reporting: establishing metrics to assess the effectiveness of organizational diversity initiatives, preparing reports that demonstrate the impact and value of outreach initiatives.‣ Public Representative: acting as a departmental representative for diversity, equity, and inclusion by participating in city or county-wide meetings, delivering public presentations, and facilitating conversations to educate community members on related topics.‣ Community Outreach: creating and distributing informational marketing materials, actively participating in community conferences, and hosting informational events with evening and weekend flexibility. ‣ Virtual Equity Representative: serving as the administrator and lead trainer for AARP's OATS program at our center while also participating in state-wide initiatives for digital equity as an advocate for older adults.‣ Lead Facilitator for Social Engagement & Inclusion: leading the county's Master Aging Plan focus group on Social Engagement and Inclusion to ensure inclusive aging practices in the county.‣ Resource Developer: assisting in the creation and ongoing maintenance of a comprehensive online community aging resource guide, providing a vital tool for older adults and their caregivers.
