Was handed a 1,000,000.00$ budget for the construction of a new molecular biology laboratory related to the Molecular Assisted Selection program on soybean at CÉROM. Manages the laboratory, the development of scientific methods and performs regular genomic analysis needed for the soybean program. Does maintenance on all the scientific instruments such as PCR, DNA sequencer, automated liquid handling platform, growth chambers, purified water system and others. Also took part in the genetic testing of herbicide resistant weeds. Offers a scientific support to all the researchers at CÉROM for their needs related to the molecular biology lab including budget planning.Currently is an active member of the Health and Safety Committee at the CÉROM.

Takes care of all improvements related to the next-generation sequencing platform (Illumina) and makes sure that the operations are running perfectly. Involved in the automation of laboratory procedures using automated liquid handlers such as the Biomek (Beckman) and the Janus (Perkin- Elmer). Participates in the evaluation of new technologies and instrumentation and their implementation in our laboratories. Member of the local innovation team aimed at stimulating the intellectual curiosity within the company and to help solve scientific problems faced by our colleagues. Also part of the team responsible for the management and classification of the inventory. The review of scientific literature and keeping a laboratory notebook meeting the highest standards in the industry are part of my daily work.

Handles daily Sagner sequencing requests and delivers results on time. Analyses results to ensure they respect our quality standard. Involved in all technical and process improvements as well as the automation of routine tasks. Also offers a customer support for any questions related to services of the sequencing platform.
