In charge of:• Leading EHS and Occupational Health teams (four direct reports)• Managing Budget (0.35 - 0.5 MUSD)• Implementing regulation and corporate standards • Supervising investment projects in EHS matters• Encouraging preventive culture over the site.Main results:• Site got the main recognition into the Company (President Safety Award) due to Safety results in 2012.• Implement EHS committees in order to improve the EHS Culture through accountability of employees to perform EHS tasks such as self training, self inspections, and incident investigations.• Establish a contractor safety program during a facility upgrade requiring 18 months of activities and about 300 contractors at site. Achieving zero lost time accidents. • Reduce environmental impacts by improving waste management (Savings: 0.2 MUSD), such as valorization of scrap and fiscal destruction, waste water reuse in sanitary services.• Improve insurance rate by executing projects required by FM global (sprinklers, dust collector relocation, fire door testing)• Reduce incident rate from 0.8 to 0.27 in 2012.

In charge of:- Deploying EHS strategy over the region and participate as member of the international EHS committee (France).- Regional consolidation of EHS KPI’s such as accident and severity rates, annual action plan advances, 5’s program, risk assessment program, EHS training, noise program, toxic agent program, ergonomic program, etc.- Training for Site Managers, EHS Coordinators and EHS Auditors about SG EHS tools and standards- Conducting the accident analysis in all lost time accident cases.- Encouraging the best practices among plants- Coordinating the EHS cross audit program- Encouraging ISO 14000 certification in concerned sites.Main results: To implement the behavioral based system by training at least 300 leaders (head of team) who are in charge to conduct behavioral observations in the floor shop. This meant an important reduction of the lost time accident rate from 3.5 to 1.4 and lost days from 1260 to 230 in 2009. To implement the cross audit program (36 audits between 2007 and 2010) by training of 64 internal auditors, in order to improve the EHS management system of each site (more than 500 recommendations to improve EHS management system). To implement the risk assessment methodology by training of 120 leaders of team in hazard identification and risk evaluation. This method establishes a priority matrix, which lets identify the major risk activities and reduce them. To implement the 6M/5W methodology in order to identify root causes of lost time accidents and improving the preventive /corrective actions.
