While working a training program for Suriname I was charged with assisting in the development of a program that would help the country start an Emergency Medical System (EMS). The country did not have an EMS system in country and were looking at having their military medics train their police force and fire department force. The program designed for Suriname was a stepping stone designed to bring all first responders to a standard level of care in order to serve their community and save lives.
