• Led and oversaw all Legal and Compliance functions for a $1B organization with 9,500+ employees.• Built and strengthened the Legal, Claims, and Compliance departments, managing a multi-million-dollar budget by establishing procedures, updating processes, and monitoring overall performance.• Supervised a cross-functional team comprising four lawyers, five legal support staff, and a 25+ member compliance team.• Reported directly to the CEO as Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and to the Board as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).• Oversaw all aspects of the organization’s governance, including board matters, litigation, contracts, transactions, government relations, claims, insurance, and regulatory compliance.• Advised the CEO and Board in a complex legal setting under high press and regulatory scrutiny.
