Promoted to the role of the Product & IT Support Engineer, A bespoke role in addition to my role of Systems Engineer Responsibilities including: • Technical Support for other engineers inside Westronics. • Management of all major security projects including labour and subcontractors. • Managements of all Major client’s systems, on site and remote. • Setup communications with all Clients IT departments, ensuring all requirements and Infrastructure is in-place for systems. • Ongoing support of Engineers laptops including hardware upgrades, Windows 10 upgrades and Bitlocker Encryption, ensuring all engineers had required control panel software to perform works.• Working closely with sales department to advise the best equipment and solution to suit a client’s needs from a technical standpoint • Expanding company portfolio by Introducing new products, manufacturers and ideas Including point to point wireless networking, OpenVPN and major camera manufacturers.• Troubleshooting systems including replication of faults on test bench for the manufacturer to troubleshoot remotely.Skills gained: • Detailed understanding on networks and infrastructure including Vlans, firewalls and best infosec security practices. Some work with Hypervisors mainly Proxmox, with some Quemu via UnRaid and Hyper-V. • Some 4G broadband installation experience. • Became first port of call for customers with technical questions and problems at Westronics• Delivered numerous high value projects on time and to a high standard, including management from quote acceptance to completion and ongoing support and aftercare. • Experience gained with 3rd party graphics integration (Drax360 AMX Alarm management)• Experience gained with Autodesk Autocad 2022.
