I am an experienced Tax Director at KPMG Ireland’s Tax Transformation and Technology team. In this role, I lead KPMG’s tax data and analytics service offering.I have over 17 years tax experience. My initial training and background was in indirect taxes (VAT, Customs, and betting taxes). I now also have extensive experience providing tax data services on Employment Taxes, Corporation Tax, RCT and capital allowances. Sample of projects and engagements:— Development and delivery of eAudit engagements in VAT, employment taxes, customs, RCT, and Corporation Tax— Assisting clients with tax controversy projects, including multi-tax head audits, risk reviews, and other Revenue & HMRC interventions— Transformation projects reviewing end-to-end tax processes (e.g. identifying issues and solutions for data quality and ERP issues)— Founding member of KPMG Ireland’s Tax Transformation and Technology team— Business lead for delivery of time capture project— Developed a variety of bespoke tax tools (VAT on property, Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme, product file, shadow payroll, project pricing) — Founding member of KPMG Ireland’s specialist VAT Compliance team — Developed initial VAT reporting tool, and architected replacement VAT reporting systemI also lead the development and delivery of KPMG’s gender pay gap data and analytics service offering. This offering was initially focussed on assisting early adopters since 2017 using the UK regulations, but is now fully updated and focussed on assisting clients comply with the Irish 2022 regulations. I am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA) and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) of the Irish Tax Institute. I hold a BComm and Masters in Computer Science (both from UCD). I am also Alteryx core certified, and certified in a number of Thompson Reuters tax tools. I regularly speak at external and KPMG events on tax and gender pay matters.
