For the past ten years water resources has been at the forefront of my research and career interests. My work experiences consist of: investigating post-wildfire water quality – specifically the photodegradation potential of dissolved pyrogenic carbon; evaluating sanitation products and technologies – including the viability of anaerobic digestion as a sanitation solution for Alaskan Native Villages; and, researching river systems for increased inclusion under federally protected rivers. I am passionate about elevating the potential of others and helping communities flourish by unlocking reliable access to clean water and sanitation services. I believe achieving and maintaining clean water and healthy environments requires dynamic solutions and the merging of intentional planning, efficient engineering, and adaptive management while integrating multiple stakeholders and uses. I thrive in a team dynamic and am well trained in collaborating with various types of people while balancing competing personalities and interests.
