As a Physician Associate/Assistant Certified (PA-C) with a Doctorate in Medical Science (DMSc) and two graduate certificates in Executive Leadership and Healthcare Administration/Management, I have gained valuable experience in providing high-quality and culturally competent care to diverse and underserved populations.I currently practice at Swope Health Wyandotte, a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves a primarily Latino immigrant community in Kansas City, Kansas. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, social workers, and community health workers to diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, as well as to educate, empower, and advocate for our patients and their families. My mission is to improve the health and well-being of the communities I serve, especially those who face barriers and disparities in accessing quality healthcare. I am passionate about addressing the social determinants of health, such as poverty, immigration status, language, and culture, and integrating them into my clinical practice and decision-making. I am also committed to advancing my professional development and leadership skills, as well as contributing to the education and mentorship of future PA-Cs.
