• Design an ergonomic fetal blood sampling device to enhance diagnostic accuracy for fetal distress by assessing lactate and/or pH levels, aiming to minimize unnecessary cesarean procedures• Create rotary and linear mechanism to control selection of device internals using SOLIDWORKS• 3D print prototypes (with PLA) and conduct validation and verification testing on the printed parts• Communicate with housing team to address design constraints and assembly• Presented research poster at the 2024 Annual BMES Meeting in Baltimore, MD
