I am currently the Quality Systems Manager at Lactalis-American Group in Nampa, Idaho. I maintain the food safety systems that keep our food system operating efficiently. I work to bridge the gap between Quality Assurance and Production and make sure that everyone is working under the same direction and sharing the same goals. I am HACCP Certified. I formerly worked for the Federal Government, for FSIS within the USDA, helping to ensure the safety and sanitation of the food supply for not only our country but our trading partners as well. I was a Food Inspector for four years, before becoming a Consumer Safety Inspector for 4 years. I left the Federal Government to pursue my passion for maintaining/assessing Food Safety Systems.In college I was passionate about German history and culture, Russian history and culture, and Women's Studies. My future career goals include working with German and/or Russian language and culture either as translation or transcription services, working with international organizations to promote gender and sexuality equality and combat domestic violence and sexual assault, or working with domestic companies to promote equality-minded workplace policies and facilitating workplace growth and leadership development.
