Patient Care Coordinator Er & Antepartum Units
CurrentWelcome each patient upon arrival to determine the level of care they require.Manage non clinical care of antepartum unit.Transport patients to triage center while informing medical staff of patient’s condition and immediate medical concerns.Check for existing health insurance coverage.Inform Patient Records of any insurance related issues.Care for family members while the patient is being cared for by an assessment nurse.Transport patient to designated exam room after ensuring patient’s correct ID and medical chart information. Round patients during stay in coordination with the medical team .Maintain a safe and orderly waiting room for patients, family members and Orlando Health staff.Receive and process radio calls from EMTs bringing critical care patients to our facility.Provide all appropriate care to patients while assisting the medical team with daily operations.
