I have a Ph.D. in Neural Engineering from Northwestern University, where I explored the intricate neural processes behind how we move our hands and limbs. Through my research, I aimed to advance brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies, making it possible for individuals with paralysis to move again by bridging the gaps between what we dream and what we can do.My curiosity took me to Meta, where I embraced the challenge of blending digital and physical worlds. There, I focused on developing wrist wearables that transform muscle movements into digital commands, facilitating intuitive interactions with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. This work was about making our interaction with technology as seamless as speaking or waving a hand.In the past, I worked on innovative projects that combined biology with technology, creating bio-robotic, “bomb-sniffing” locusts capable of detecting explosives. This work showcased the incredible potential of nature-inspired solutions for real-world safety and security challenges.Currently, I am a Program Director with a focus in Generative AI, Data Science, and Brain-Computer Interfaces at AE Studio, where I continue my dedication to developing solutions that increase agency and empower individuals.
