In this company, which I started as a technician in a workshop environment, I learnt a lot on marine engines, special transmission units such as IPS produced by Volvo Penta and their working principles. Now I work on functions and calibrations of the electronic systems, the maintenance and repair of the propulsion systems and especially the application procedures on the boat. I monitor the propulsion systems of customers through the Volvo Penta portal and inform them in case of a campaign. In addition, I manage the social media account of the company, I publish our works and introduce the newest Volvo Penta solutions in detail.

During the internship, I followed up the work on the boat every day and prepared daily reports; I observed the operation, organization and workmanship in the field. I witnessed the importance of time and risk management in a project. I learned what processes the boats, whose project start dates were one year apart, went through, respectively. I learned about the general layout on superyachts, some classification requirements, insulation - anti-vibration materials such as sylomer and stone wool, which are emphasized for comfort, and their usage areas, furniture and covering materials.

In addition to the welding and shaping methods that are the subject of my internship, I learned a lot about the structural support elements of the ship, their manufacture, the procedures and fine details of the assembly to the block, the main and auxiliary machinery of the ship, various tanks and propulsion systems. I put on my equipment and did electrode and gas arc welding many times. I learned the intricacies of the job and how it should be done from the masters. I observed the removal of huge sheets cut with CNC, the assembly stages with the block, and then the surface smoothing by grinding. I received detailed information from my foreman about welding issues and sheet metal deformation tolerances. In short, I learned about how the ship production process works, the manufacturing methods and most of the ship's elements.
