The National African Student Association (NAFSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association founded by a group of passionate individuals who believe, like many, that anyone can make a positive impact on the African continent. Their main objective is to ensure that the young African generation studying abroad are able to receive the necessary resources and connections to easily succeed academically and professionally. This would then make it easier for them to help the African continent and its diaspora community advance economically, culturally and socially.

The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority is a state agency dedicated to improving the administration of criminal justice.As a community engagement specialist, I am tasked with executing statewide community awareness campaigns and keep track of community issues, such as development and crime, and working with community members to increase engagement in initiatives.

- Partnered with other voter registration organizations to bring awareness about youth civic engage- Conducted two outreach community development events while averaging 57 people attending- Registered and received pledges of voting 2,000 people- Manager of all social media outlets. Enforced COVID-19 regulations to all patrons wanting to access the library and assisted students inaccessing different library functions (tech support, printing services, and book discovery).

- Helped create 27 virtual simulations for men of color at DePaul- Organized 11 programs for the Multiculturalism Center on racial inclusion- Maintained and deciphered through over 500 emails regarding group activity

- With little research on the role of community organizations as mechanisms for political participation. This project proposes to fill these gaps by asking the following questions: 1. How do community organizations representing migrant communities in Alberta pursue political action?; 2. What are the most effective strategies for influencing public policies and for mobilizing their own communities?; 3. What types of state-society mechanisms allow these organizations to interact effectively with the state for these purposes in a context where most of their constituents are not citizens? - Conducted a research project that primarily focused on interviews with organization leaders, community members, and officials from relevant government departments.- Reconceptualized migrant community organizing and governance, to strengthen our theoretical understanding of how marginalized/non-citizen actors engage in the public sphere and will have significant impact for communities.

GoDo Hub is a creative, innovative, and tech-centric hub with the goal of actively participating and contributing to the growth and development of an equal, inclusive and sustainable Africa.At GoDo Hub, I created and presented 5 civic education lesson plans for over 100 Nigerian youth from ages 8-18 centering around topics such as civic participation, Nigeria’s electoral process, and women in the political sphere. I also curated 2 interactive digital games using platforms such as Kahoot! and Playbuzz for students to access outside of lesson plans.

- Orchestrated social media out reach programs for COVID-19 relief- Planned and implemented 17 events centering around voting rights - Assisted in partnerships with other voting rights groups regarding minority voting turnout

- Taught 30 high school students about violence against women and children, including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence- Empowered students to recognize and choose healthy relationships- Empowered students to become community leaders and active participants in the movement to end violence
