Technology always beats legislation and it is precisely this interplay that attracted and retained me in the tech sector for two decades. This journey have also made me realize that the more tech we become, more human we need to be. In my life I am driven by curiosity and life-long learning. I have been managing various legal teams (from local to cross-border) for many years, but besides my interest in the law as such, I am always highly driven by making an impact and achieving tangible results.Working with innovation and new tech taught me to enjoy unfamiliar and to create something new: be it new organisation, legal interpretation, ways of working or new ways in supporting my staff. Having spent 6 years in Brussels taught me the power of convincing arguments and networking resulting in change of legislation. Currently I am working in Stockholm as General Counsel at Telia Sweden and I am responsible for managing legal, regulatory, E&C and sustainability agenda. I am also a member of Swedish Executive Leadership Team. Key issues on my agenda are making risk based decisions, implementing security, privacy, sustainability requirements, safeguarding the responsible use of AI to name a few. My career originally took-off in Lithuania, when I was working as General Counsel at stock-listed Telia Lithuania. I was also holding membership in various Boards of Directors. I have graduated Vilnius University, Faculty of Law in 1998. In 2002 completed International Management Programme at SSE (Stockholm School of Economics).
