Specific Duties as Engineering Design lead• Met with clients, set out design objectives and budgeted for project deliverables• Managed projects, allocated team members to complete tasks, and supervised and reviewed work by junior design engineersGeneral Support duties as a Mechanical Engineer• Developed quality control system (QMS) manuals for construction, repair, and alteration of pressure equipment (pressure piping, vessels, boilers & fittings)• Developed weld procedure specifications (WPS) for pressure and non-pressure applications in accordance with ASME, CSA, API, AWS standards and owner specifications• Coordinated laboratory testing, evaluated test data against project and code requirements, and communicated results to clients• Conducted welder performance qualification (WPQ) tests for welders and welding operators in accordance with ASME and CSA requirements• Traveled to shop and field locations in Alberta to perform on-site inspections and issue engineering reports for CWB certified structural construction companies• Performed engineering evaluations of steel structures and components, joining of steel structures and components, and pressure equipment in accordance with ASME and CSA requirements• Designed and drafted drawings for ASME and CSA pressure equipment, and metal structures and components in accordance with the CSA requirements.
