Dr. Emily Golden is a toxicologist with expertise in chemical hazard and risk assessment and is passionate about applying New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in evaluating chemical hazard. Her current role is as a Senior Toxicologist at SRC, Inc., where she supports the development of chemical toxicity values, performs systematic reviews, and implements predictive methodologies for screening chemical hazard. Her doctoral and postdoctoral research experience focused on the performance of in silico tools for skin and respiratory sensitization. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, she worked as a consultant where she managed and evaluated the human health and environmental hazard of hundreds of chemicals and ingredients used in consumer and industrial products, including cleaning, electronic, textile and cosmetic components in the context of Green Chemistry and Green Toxicology paradigms. Dr. Golden also worked in the pharmaceutical industry in process validation and batch record preparation for product changeover. Additionally, she has experience in pharmaceutical quality control in a laboratory setting where she performed physical and instrumental analysis of various raw materials. Throughout all of her experience, Dr. Golden has demonstrated excellent management, written, oral, and organizational skills and enjoys working independently on research projects as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
