In the Project for Updating and Expansion of the Panama Climate Transparency Platform (PNTC), I lead the design and development of the NDC follow-up module on adaptation commitments. This module is crucial for monitoring the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) in Panama. I’m formulating the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) proposal, which included the identification of relevant data and indicators to implement NDC adaptation commitments on the climate transparency platform. Additionally, I led the development of the proposal for institutional arrangements to effectively monitor and report compliance with NDC adaptation commitments. To ensure seamless collaboration, I coordinated work sessions with relevant institutions and key stakeholders. Furthermore, I prepared comprehensive proposals, outlining content, learning methodologies, use protocols, and data entry procedures for adaptation commitment indicators on the platform.

Consolidation and editing of the document of the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory 2016-2020 and Second Biennial Update Report of Honduras.

In Panama's Climate Change Adaptation Program for Integrated Water Resources Management, I coordinated inter-institutional efforts, leading to the legal adoption of key technical documents. I spearheaded national training and socialization activities, effectively communicating the program’s outcomes through dissemination materials, infographics, and press releases. I provided technical support for the program’s website content and coordinated climate change update sessions for media communicators. Additionally, I contributed to the preparation of Panama’s National Gender and Climate Change Plan and the National Climate Action Plan. I also compiled and reported on the program’s compliance with the Adaptation Fund's Gender Policy and prepared the final report on its achievements for the Ministry of the Environment.

As part of the "NDC Acceleration and Climate Promise", I provided vital technical support to coordinate the inclusion and development of the adaptation component in the Panama NDC1 Update. Throughout this project, I efficiently managed and monitored the development of essential adaptation components for the NDC update and implementation in Panama. Working closely with the Climate Change Directorate at the Ministry of Environment, I successfully led the Adaptation work team for the NDC1 update and Communication on Adaptation. By facilitating coordination with national institutions and key stakeholders, I ensured a collaborative and smooth NDC update process which prove my excellent organizational skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and liaise with multiple stakeholders. Additionally, I offered valuable technical and logistical support in identifying and developing elements for Panama's adaptation component in the NDC update. My contributions also extended to assisting in the adaptation component of the Measurement, Reporting, and Verification system, adhering to the Reinforced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement. As part of the project's outcomes, I prepared comprehensive final reports, conducted insightful analyses, and drew meaningful conclusions. The technical development process of the NDC1 of Panama was carried out in a short period of time, which allowed me to demonstrate my ability to be results-oriented, allowing to demonstrate my ability to work quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of the results.

Intern at the Ministry of Environment of Panama, in the Directorate of Climate Change. During my internship as a Climate Change Analyst, I conducted extensive research to formulate a methodological proposal for evaluating the vulnerability of water resources to climate change in Panama.. This involved gathering data from various sources, including scientific journals, government reports, and field surveys. To aid decision-making, I utilized GIS tools to map climate change impacts on local ecosystems and created visualizations. My proficiency in data cleaning, organization, and statistical analysis contributed to evidence-based policy recommendations. Moreover, I adapted research methodologies to evaluate the vulnerability of water resources to climate change in Panama. I effectively communicated complex information to stakeholders, including policymakers and community members, through clear and concise research reports.
