I have spent the last decade developing online/blended learning in Boulder Valley School District. I joined at the inception of our first online school and have helped build the BVSD Online program since it began as well, providing supplemental online classes to students beyond their regular classroom offerings. I have also worked to develop blended learning practices in all 57 of our district's schools: not just helping ensure technology is setup for people to use, but training staff, students, and parents on how to engage with the online tools to better their educational experience. My work requires technical knowledge to monitor and maintain our learning management systems, but also needs the ability to translate advanced technical behavior to people without those skills. I am responsible for supporting everyone from young children learning just learning to read, to long-time teachers who began their careers before technology was common place in our daily lives.
