In this predominantly remote position, I utilized the technological programs that I have learned as a student in the Interior Design program at Auburn University. These programs such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Box allowed me to provide design assistance from afar by creating floor plans, making finish selections, formatting client presentations, and rendering realistic elevations. On monthly trips, I was able to gain experience in residential design on site with clients for photoshoots, project progress checks, demolition, site measurements, installations, and general client inquiries. In this position, I was also able to connect with other designers and vendors in the Nashville/Franklin area to expand my community within the field of design. This experience not only grew my respect for business owners and the field of residential design, but also played a vital role in the continued development of my communication and time management skills.
