• Lead Network Engineer on a multi-million dollar 35+ site enterprise wide network hardware and cabling refresh project.• Responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance on all Cisco network equipment such as routers (3925, 2911 ISR G2), switches (4500x, 3850, Nexus 5k and 2k FEX), firewalls (5505, 5512, 5545x), wireless controllers (2504, 5508), and access points (2602).• Implement EIGRP Dynamic routing for Great Dane internal LAN and BGP redistribution with MPLS provider.• Engineer a dual MPLS carrier design at 3 main sites using BGP routing to enable route sharing for extra redundancy. • Configure IPSEC VPN tunnels over backup Internet connections for increased availability. • Configure VSS on all 4500x switches to reduce switch management overhead and to increase redundancy at the core layer.• Utilize Cisco Stackwise technology on all 3850 access switches to reduce management overhead as well as increase redundancy at the access layer. • Configure Port-Channels and Layer 3 MEC for increased bandwidth and availability. • Implement and manage a DMZ network on both firewall pairs in the Data Centers to increase security for our public facing servers.• Perform IOS Upgrades to prevent known bugs and unlock new feature sets for all hardware platforms.• Enhance Network Security by using ACL’s and Cisco ISE.• Work closely with key Manufacturing Engineers designing and troubleshooting a new way to wirelessly connect manufacturing floor equipment to our network for better monitoring and data capture.• Implement a new IP and VLAN scheme to segregate management, users, and a variety of devices for ease of administration, improved security, and reduce broadcasts for increased performance.• Responsible for leading and overseeing the entire network project including interfacing with cabling contractors and making sure the decisions that are made are in Great Dane’s best interests for long term growth and scalability.

Advices the NOC, Corporate IT, and field Engineers across the country for network and non network related issues.• Continual improvement and support of the corporate WAN, national backbone, and data center infrastructure. • Key member of the field deployment team which entails onsite national backbone installs and upgrades.• Exposure to extremely large-scale BGP & IS-IS routing.• Configure, maintain, and support network devices such as Routers, Switches, VPN devices, Wireless Access Points, and F5 Load Balancers.• Configure Cisco routers and layer 3 switches for fiber and MPLS circuits as well as Cisco layer 2 switches utilizing Trunks or Ether-channel connectivity.• Up to date with best practice security configuring ACL’s on Cisco Routers and utilizing Cisco ASA Firewalls.• Upgrade Cisco IOS on a wide range of platforms to ensure Corporate QoS Compliance is met. • Work with multiple vendors and video platforms to create and maintain a VOD (Video on Demand) network throughout the country.• Extensive experience with multicast networks including design and troubleshooting (PIM, SM, DM).• Transport technologies include SONET (including EPOS, ML, and XPonder) & ROADM on the Cisco ONS & Infinera platforms, MPLS/VPLS, and Cisco routing and switching on anything from the ME platforms up to and including CR-S and ASR.• Experience with use of troubleshooting methodologies and tools such as Wireshark, EXFO tests, and iPerf throughput testing.• Tools include Remedy ticket tracking, Microsoft SharePoint, Cisco NCM, SecureCRT, Granite inventory management, Microsoft Visio, Splunk, Wireshark, and SolarWinds monitoring.

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience• Work trouble, CIT and task tickets to resolve outages and customer service affecting issues• Coordinate with internal and external departments to ensure an optimum customer experience whether it is to resolve customer outages or assist in new LBI turn-ups.• Perform network impact assessments to ensure LBI customers are notified of network maintenances• Update existing network documentation as well as add new implementation and changes to network documents• Use a wide variety of software and tools such as Secure CRT, Remedy, Visio, CTC, CTM, SDRP, CINDI, and NCM
