Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit that works to put an end to gender inequality in high-tech industries and startups. We do that by educating and empowering women who are passionate about technology. As a result, we offer everything from coding courses to bootcamps to hackathons and startup competitions no matter age or profession. It is Girls in Tech’s mission to support women with the access and community they need to succeed in tech.GIT was founded in 2007 and headquartered in San Francisco. The Girls in Tech global community is 60 chapters strong with an impact of more than 100,000 members in 36 countries. As a result, events and programming in each chapter vary to fit the unique needs of each community.

Kanhai’s Center is the envisioned accomplishment of Pastor Ram Kanhai, fondly known as Pastor Peter, who, along with his wife and family opened their homes and hearts to wary missionaries from across the globe. His love for missionaries and anyone who came to help Guyana’s less fortunate, propelled him to create an environment where these persons can be comfortable and have a place to congregate, conduct training or workshop or simply have fellowship. And so Kanha'si Center was built. An expansive 8 bedroom facility that accommodates 32 with and open concept hall and catering kitchen. He was determined to keep rates as low as possible but not compromising on quality or value. Working with organizations such as Operation Mobilization, Jocum Brazil, Foot Soldiers of Trinidad & Tobago as well as Open Bible Standard Churches and the Wesleyan Churches or Guyana, have seen the Kanhai Center become a major success in this niche market. In June of 2011, Pastor Kanhai passed away. His Daughter and Son-In-Law now carry on his dream of having a safe, comfortable and affordable place for missionaries, medical groups, families and other non-profit organizations. In addition to special rates, they are also offered free administrative support and free event planning. Kanhai Center will soon be expanding into apartment for long term visitors, offering the same great service, rates and value for the wary traveller.
