With extensive senior management experience specializing in employment/training and settlement services; coupled with a degree in Psychology and Social Sciences and a diploma in Computer Programming, I oversaw the department’s growth and expansion of employment and training programs to respond to the needs of the increasing numbers of job seekers and newcomers; as well as, handle staffs’ hiring, training, support and performance reviews. In the past ten years under my leadership as the Director in the Employment and Training Department at University Settlement, I was actively involved with the agency’s strategic and operating plans by chairing the centre-wide program evaluation planning and development. Externally, I connected with a group of potential employers and also have formed alliances with other community agencies, building partnerships and exchanging services by providing referral options to clients based on their needs and location preferences.
