Public Responsibility Engagement Senior Program Manager
CurrentI manage ICANN's online capacity-development platform (ICANN Learn) and research for ICANN’s Global Stakeholder Engagement Programs. The bulk of my job involves constantly assessing, synthesizing, and disseminating information to organization leaders and Board of Directors members to support their informed decision making. This includes managing the RFP process for selecting a vendor to perform ICANN's first internal Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA), general research pertaining to human rights, ICANN history and institutional knowledge, diversity and equity, environmental sustainability, and other projects, such as establishing an org-wide internship program, related to supporting inclusion of underrepresented groups of Internet users in the community of Internet governance stakeholders who produce policies for ICANN. Presenting this research involves coordinating cross-functionally across the organization and the Board of Directors, to influence and align priorities according to our mission. I am tasked with identifying competing priorities, as well as aligned perspectives, in order to facilitate consensus and support meaningful outputs.Having directed the process for procuring and implementing a new externally-facing Learning Management System (LMS) for ICANN, which is better suited to enable ICANN to incorporate more technical and security training provided for free to our community, I oversee the daily functioning of ICANN Learn. I have developed a long-term strategy for platform growth and promotion as well as implementing a curriculum strategy based on community feedback. I support community engagement through building thematic-focused learning tracks. My job involves strategic planning, managing relationships to build consensus, budget management, digital marketing, hiring and managing contractors, presenting information to various global audiences, and conducting training in addition to regular performance-based reporting on ICANN Learn usage.
