This work is assisting the Migration, Health, and Development Research Initiative (MHADRI), out of the African Center for Migration and Society. MHADRI aims to create a global network of researchers who are focused on the intersection of migration and health. I support the network by creating and disseminating communication content, and maintaining the website. I am also working on developing the early career researcher network, which will consist of young researchers from around the globe who are interested in MHADRI's areas of interest.

I like experimenting with contrast of positive and negative space, and exploring how different colors present this contrast best.

This work is assisting the Migration, Health, and Development Research Initiative. MHADRI aims to create a global network of researchers who are focused on the intersection of migration and health. I interview scholars to determine the gaps in migration and health research in their region. I will also work on communicative elements, including blogs and podcasts to disseminate this information. This position is part of my Masters degree and will include writing a dissertation based on my research.

Working in the Unaccompanied Minors Department, I acted as an additional caseworker for clients, walking them through various parts of the immigration process. I also organized informational sessions for clients and their families to learn their immigration rights.

I worked on creating an archive of documents and images relating to the National Park program Summer in the Parks, which was started in 1968. I tracked down documents around D.C., digitized them, and organized them into an easily accessible archive.

I worked at the Edinburgh Fringe as a space technician. We worked to build the venues at the start of the festival, and helped groups as they entered the space for the run of their shows. When required, we also ran lighting and crew needs for the shows. This also involved customer service when the front-of-house staff required it.

We taught some basic language and math classes to young adult men who had never learned addition or subtraction. When they finished their training, they were required to take a test to prove what they had learned. After that, they would receive a loan to do what they needed to improve their business. We helped them figure out what they needed to do and checked up on them almost daily to make sure they were fulfilling the requirements of the program. Responsibilities also included writing reports of the visits and whatever documents needed to be created.
