Led all strategic and day-to-day accounting and FP&A functions for a growing renewable construction entity during a turnaround. Led accounting transformation and reorganization of personnel, policies, and systems in an adverse industry while working on cross-functional strategic projects for organizational realignments. Rebuilding the accounting and FP&A functions to meet the needs of the growing enterprise for scale. Controlled accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, labor, and cost accounting for commercial solar contracts, and monthly financial analysis and reporting while assisting in building and scaling an emerging new services organization. Special emphasis was on cash management and strategic steps to limit risk in a highly volatile construction industry. Led monthly metrics tracking, analysis, and reporting of financial status, and operating information to the executive team, Board, and operational managers. Cultivated relationships with banking, financing, vendors, and customers for strategic growth, cost and cash control opportunities, and operational transformation efficiencies. Mitigated company risk through contract negotiations and review, insurance, and employee culture impacts. Developed and implemented several strategic improvements to drive company performance and profitability: Cash management imperatives and tracking for visibility and additional controls, vendor diversification and new contract negotiations, customer contract restructuring to maximize cash flow and revenue recognition, new asset acquisition strategies and funding for growth, equipment and credit enhancements to expand company cash opportunities and strategic decision making, and enhanced system reports for construction profitability analysis. Managed vendor, bank, and lending relationships to extend cash flows and runway in an extremely volatile industry to provide for company growth and stability options.
