At Advertising.com, an AOL company, Eric was responsible for the overall enterprise architecture of the advertising systems. He directed a team of engineers and architects developing the technology behind the world's largest advertising network.

As Advertising.com transitioned from a privately held company to ownership under AOL, Eric served as the leader of the technology organization, overseeing engineering, operations, and project management functions for the company.

Eric specified, designed, and built systems that grew Advertising.com from an early-stage startup to the nation's largest advertising network. He led teams of engineers to rapidly build and deploy new product capabilities, and supported the evolution of the company's market-leading optimization technology AdLearn.

Eric designed and developed software for the embedded systems that controlled Ciena's optical communication equipment. This included work with communications protocols, hardware drivers, and micro-controllers.
