The Ford College Graduate Program allowed me to rotate through various parts of the company to expand my breadth of knowledge and quickly learn Ford tools and processes through fast exposure to a variety of different roles outlined below.1st Rotation: Lincoln Program Management Analyst - I developed the marketing claims deck for the all-new Lincoln MKX. I led the color harmony review process with the Ford Design Quality team in Dearborn and at Oakville Assembly plant to support a successful vehicle launch.2nd Rotation: Manufacturing Business Office Analyst - I managed plant investment cost and complexity reduction studies for future Transit and Explorer models at Kansas City Assembly Plant and Chicago Assembly Plant.3rd Rotation: Fusion Product Planning Analyst - I coordinated input from all skill teams on product business case papers for senior management review.4th Rotation: Police Vehicle Integration Engineer - I led vehicle testing for industry first pursuit rated F-150 and delivered prototype Police Interceptor Utilities in ready to test condition.5th Rotation: Expedition/Navigator Program Management Analyst - I drove issue resolution to ensure that the vehicles launched on time and exceeded customer expectations. Additionally, I tracked and reported launch spending.

I led the retrofit of interiors on 9 prototype Lincoln MKX vehicles to be used at auto shows and marketing events across the country. This included developing the retrofit timeline, ordering new parts, and weekly meetings with the build sites to verify progress and resolve build issues. Additionally in this role, I led the weekly appearance steering team meeting for MKX program - a forum used to make appearance related decisions with the Chief Program Engineer and design studio team.

My main responsibilities as project manager were to manage the project's timeline and budget as well as lead the team members.I, along with the other members of the executive team, developed and implemented a 2-year timeline to design, build, and race the new solar car for the 2013 World Solar Challenge in Australia. New regulations mandated a 4 wheel design which meant we had to reevaluate the balance between time spent designing, building, and testing the car.Another responsibility was to manage the team's $2mill budget. I helped fundraise this by working with over 100 different companies and 10 different University departments. Additionally we avoided taking out loans or accumulating debt throughout the entire duration of the project cycle and we left the next team with a positive balance.My last responsibility was to make sure that the entire team functioned as one. This included leading over 100 students during the school year. From these members, I and the other race executives selected a 19 member race crew to work fulltime on the team over the summer and fall of 2013. With this crew, we were able to build a team culture of supportive members and a flat leadership structure. This resulted in less turnover and a better transition to the next team.Additionally, I was a member of the 2012 Race Crew which raced in the American Solar Challenge from Rochester, NY to St. Paul, MN for a 1st place finish by over 10 hours.

During the Fall 2011 semester, I ran the interim team in Ann Arbor while the Race Crew was racing in Australia. We were responsible for recruiting new members to race in the 2012 American Solar Challenge and 2013 World Solar Challenge. Additionally, we were responsible for training the new team members. This position helped give me a good overall picture of how the team operated which helped me transition into the role of Project Manager for the 2013 team.

As an Engineering Student Ambassador, my role was to support the College of Engineering Office of Advancement by sharing my student experience. This included connecting with alumni, prospective students, and donors at luncheons, dinners, programs and events throughout the year. My favorite part was providing Segway tours of campus!

I worked with a team of two other interns to create videos showcasing the University research and technology that the Office of Technology Transfer licenses to external companies. This included scheduling, filming, and editing over 10 videos.

At age 7, I started a neighborhood yard work business so I could purchase a new toy I wanted. Over the years, I grew the business to include lawn mowing, snow removal, and technology support for over 50 different customer accounts.

This project started as a community service project raising awareness and installing rain barrels for free. We built and installed over 20 barrels during the school year and won the community service award in the 2010 Michigan Envirothon Competition. After the project ended, demand for rain barrels in my community was still high, so I transformed the project into a small business and sold additional barrels over the summer.

For my Eagle Scout project, I designed, tested, and built sound garden in the local park. This involved organizing over 25 people over a period of 4 months to complete the project.
