I am the spiritual and worship leader of the San Gabriel UU Fellowship. You'll be able to find me in the pulpit there at least twice a month, sometimes more. ChimeraVan is a slow-growth startup exploring #ElectricVanLife. What does a minimum viable product (MVP) for 21st century mobile living look like? Building on my 15 year history of lay ministry that includes sermons, small group ministries, weddings, funerals, and ordination by the Church of Spiritual Humanism - I am also recognized as a Community Lay Minister by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Community Ministers. I am available to provide pulpit service, guest sermons, memorials, weddings, and rites of passage services inclusively to the public - usually those who identify as 'spiritual but not religious', UU's, religiously liberal Christians, humanists, earth-centered practitioners, and also those from other or hybrid religious backgrounds. My personal spiritual practices and experiences range from secular to Christian, Buddhist to Shamanic, and Taoist to Yogic. My spiritual focus is on transformation in the esoteric sense, while honoring the sacred aspects of a variety of exoteric traditions.

I was responsible for the management of the human, technical, spatial and fiscal information technology resources to support the educational, research and administrative missions of the school. I provided service-oriented leadership to make the school technologically and organizationally competitive with the top architecture programs in the world. This involved developing mutually supportive relationships with the administration, faculty, staff and students of the school while fostering similar relationships with campus administration, IT governance, central IT providers, supporters of the school, peer institutions, vendors, and practitioners. These relationships formed the foundation for strategic planning and service definition and provision. I successfully managed several programs and completed numerous projects, technical and organizational, and can provide an inventory upon request. I played a central role in transforming the school from the technologically challenged state it was in when I arrived, to one of technological competitiveness with top peer institutions. I built a first-rate team of professionals and a cadre of graduate student workers who enjoyed their work and a work environment where they could take the risks necessary to achieve excellence.

I was responsible for the management of systems and network infrastructure to support the research and administrative missions of the Applied Computational Engineering and Sciences Building - a multidisciplinary facility designed to impact the competitiveness of the University in the fields of computer science, computer engineering and applied mathematics. I provided hands-on V.I.P. service to visiting political and technical leaders. I built relationships to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. I engaged in research on cutting-edge digital visualization and multipoint internet videoconferencing and collaboration software.

I managed the systems and network infrastructure to support the educational, research and administrative missions of the department. I redesigned the network infrastructure, and participated in establishing new standards and a campus model for networking organization and maintenance.

My main project was planning for the implementation of state-wide unified email system using Microsoft Exchange. I developed a strategy to leverage and reorganize existing resources to meet project goals at a small fraction of the anticipated costs.

I performed network and systems administration for a mid-sized civil engineering firm. I transformed the server and network infrastructure, radically improving the performance, availability and effectiveness of the computing resources.

I designed, constructed and implemented a cutting-edge digital photography teaching facility.

I provided desktop support and technical advising for the Dean's Office. I consulted on website design and the curricular integration of technology.

I provided desktop support for faculty, staff and computer labs. I installed, maintained, upgraded and troubleshot networking hardware. I coded portions of the first website for the college following the release of Mosaic, the first widely distributed graphical web browser.

I worked two semesters as a network technician. Installation, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting of networking hardware and systems network configurations.

I worked two semesters as an Elecrtical Engineering Co-op student. I did technical drawings in Microstation, assisted the LAN administrator with computer maintenance, performed technical work on communications systems, and participated in the Total Quality Management program.
