Senior Lecturer in Education with a specific remit in initial teacher education, both UK and internationally. I lead the UK-based PgCert Education (SCITT) programme and teach on the international PGCE Education and PGCE with iQTS distance learning programmes, a combined total of over 800 students per year. I am a postgraduate module leader, external examiner, PhD supervisor and an assessor on the Assessment-Only Route to QTS. I am Vice-Chair of TPEA: the Technology, Pedagogy and Education Association, a national subject association, and an author and editor on several titles in the Routledge ‘Learning to Teach’ series. My research interests include international teacher education and professional development, educational technology, video-enhanced lesson observation and dialogic assessment, technology-enhanced learning and digital pedagogies, ICT and computing education and the use of digital and visual research methods. In July 2023, I was invited to join the editorial board of TPE journal. From 2023 onwards, I have been awarded a research and knowledge exchange fellowship to collaborate on research with international schools.
