I grew up surrounded by computers. Constantly on my father's worksites, I would be encircled by a myriad of flashing lights that looked like the stars themselves had descended just for my little, eager eyes. As my knowledge of computers expanded, my fascination only grew and it grew towards one area of computer science in particular: AI. The thought that we can one day create computers that think and act like us adds fuel to an already massive bonfire. This passion has lead to me where I am now; and undergraduate at Johns Hopkins majoring in computer science and a part of its AI club. In addition to my passion for computer science, I also have a passion for community service. During my junior year of high school, I saw that many of my peers were struggling with the SAT and though my school provided some guidance, it did not seem to be enough. I myself had taken outside SAT classes and spent extensive time studying the SAT with whatever material I could get my hands on. Unable to watch my peers potentially fail such an important test, through no fault of their own, I started my own tutor club. At first, we only held sessions for the SAT but as I recruited more people and our service grew more popular, I soon expanded to core subject areas. I am proud to say that as a result many of my peers achieved their goal scores on the SAT and some got into their dream colleges.
