Reservoir Engineer
• Performed reservoir simulation of CO2CRC Otway project in Victoria, using Eclipse. The CO2 plume migration, risk analysis of possible leakage through faults and sensitivity to relative permeability were studied. Additional Compositional PVT models were constructed to determine the migration of BTEX which was in the injection stream.• Performed reservoir studies of Nova Scotia gas field in Canada using Eclipse and CMG. The reservoir models and compositional PVT model were constructed and history matching was performed based on the available production data. The matched models were used to forecast future production profiles and end of economic life.• Designed and developed a software (MonteCarbon) for injectivity and capacity estimation of CO2 storage sites using uncertainty analysis. MonteCarbon works based on semi-analytical equations and can perform Monte Carlo analysis. The software is now being used at the CO2CRC, CSIRO and Korean Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM).• Developed several analytical tools to predict CO2 injectivity in saline formations. The equations form the basis of MonteCarbon.• Assisted in developing reservoir models for CSG reservoirs.
