• Conduct acid hydrolysis de-hydrogenation reaction on pre-treated woody biomass obtained from Idaho National Laboratory and National Renewable Energy Laboratory to study the yields of different components that contribute to the characteristics of biofuels.• Analyze the hydrolysate obtained after acid hydrolysis de-hydrogenation reaction by using a high-performance liquid chromatography technique (HPLC).• Compile the results and present them in front of the advisor and research group every week.
