Systematic reviewer within Exeter PRP Evidence Review Facility and Isca Evidence, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Exeter. Work for both teams entails working closely with stakeholders from the UK government, including representatives from the Department of Health and Social Care, Department of Work and Pensions and NHS England to produce systematic reviews to inform government policy and commissioning. Expertise in conducting qualitative evidence synthesis, scoping reviews and evidence and gap maps. I have particular interests in mental health, patient and public involvement and creative methods of science communication. I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and have previously worked with Adults with Learning Disabilities.I am also an amateur cartoonist.

    This course involved completing 6 placements over the course of three years, as detailed above. Alongside placement, trainee clinical psychologists have to fulfill the academic requirement of the course. This involves attending lectures for two days every week and completing university assignments.The third element of the training was to complete a piece of doctoral research and write it up in a format suitable for submission to an acadmic journal. My research focused on how the concept of "Recovery" is thought of by people receiving methadone maintenance treatment for people previously dependent on heroin. This research is something i am interested in pursuing.
