About Susanna Takacs

Environmental, Health and Safety professional with Mechanical Engineering background. 26 years’ experience in H&S and 21 years in Environmental Management, at world class companies such as General Motors (Automotive), Philips (Electronics), Zenon Environmental (Chemical Industry, Water treatment), General Electric (Water Resources and Technologies) and Vale (Metal Refining).Since I have earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering I have never stopped learning, and while worked as full time Safety professional since 1996, I achieved post-graduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety and National Diploma in Environmental Management and Hydro-Technology.During my professional life I had the opportunity to study the best practices from the largest and most well-organised multinational companies, but equally, I had the possibility to create a well-functioning and widely recognised EHS system for a newly developed chemical-manufacturing company from the very beginning (including gaining the operational permits and management system certifications for multiple sites).
