Responsible for the following aspects of the supply chain: sourcing, purchasing, transport, warehousing and distribution. Also involved in identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain cost base.Working closely with the selected supplier and managing the company’s procurement activities locally and internationally.• Managing professional buyers.• Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply • Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.• Sourcing the most affordable materials for the company’s manufacturing process.• Controlling the purchasing budget.• Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time.• Ensuring the adequate supply of all required materials, components and equipment.• Managing the procurement supplier relationships for the company.• Helping to source alternative items for buyers and customers.• Managing commodity cost initiatives.• Developing relationships with distributors.• Involved in selling off excess, damaged and inventory and stock.
