About Eid Brima
Dr Brima expert in Analytical Chemistry with main focus on bioscience (using analytical instruments for biological samples (urine, hair, nail and human blood) analysis). In addition to analysis of pharmaceutical compounds, food analysis and environmental analysis.I have experience in Research and teaching Analytical Chemistry. This includes curriculum setup and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Teaching practical classes was also formed part in my experienceThe other core part of my career experience is the research field in Analytical bioscience. This is the use of analytical techniques in biological samples and pharmaceutical studies. These techniques are chromatography and spectroscopy such as ICP-MS, ICP-AES, HPLC, GC, HPLC-MS, GF-AAS, HG-AAS, LC-MS/MS, Plasma Assisted Desorption Ionisation (PADI)-MS, Flame photometry (FP), AAS, UV and IR spectrophotometers and little experience in SEM and NMR. The application of these techniques included analysis of trace elements and metabolites in human biological samples (urine, hair, nail and blood), food, water, and other environmental samples.As an outcome of this career I have numbers of publications and contributions to national and international conferences.Dr Brima's first degree was in Chemistry (The University of Garyounis), He had a computer certificate in 2000, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Master in Analytical Chemistry in 2002 (The University of Huddersfield, UK). PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2007 (De Montfort University, UK). The scope of the thesis was in arsenic exposure and metabolism in different ethnic groups. The scope of my postdoctoral in 2010 (Nottingham University, UK) was folate in human plasma by using LC-MS/MS.
