Eleven years ago, I began my career at Ferraiuoli LLC as a law clerk. At that time, I had just returned to Puerto Rico after spending three years in Savannah, Georgia, working as a Geologist ⚒ for the US Army Corps of Engineers.Coming back to Puerto Rico marked a pivotal point in my life. I got married 👫 and decided to go back to school 🎒 —this time to pursue a law degree ⚖ at the University of Puerto Rico. Many people questioned this decision. They asked, "What does law have to do with geology?"Even though I faced the normal fears and uncertainties that come with big life transitions, I took the leap. I trusted that I would find my niche, and I was determined to leverage the technical knowledge and experience I had gained as a geologist into this new career in law.Those early days were exciting 😃 , filled with learning and growth. When I first walked into Ferraiuoli as a law clerk, I was both nervous 😯 and excited. Then I met the people who would become my mentors, colleagues, and friends. 😊 Everything seemed to fall into place. I had arrived where I wanted to be.Of course, my journey has not been without its challenges. 😓 There have been moments when I questioned my decision to leave behind the career I had worked so hard to build. The uncertainty of starting anew in the legal field tested my resolve.But through perseverance and my love for what I do, I pushed through those challenges. Today, I am grateful for all that I've learned and the progress I've made.I have developed into a solution seeker and creative attorney. After obtaining my JD, I joined Ferraiuoli because I wanted to work at a firm that provides clients with creative solutions to complex legal matters through sound and out of the box legal advice that allow for the further development of the client’s business.At the end of the day, I strive to live a life of purpose, always reminded that my work is to the service of our clients, allowing them to fulfill their personal or business goals, and the impact those have on our society. For me, this is the true meaning of life and is what motivates me to continue on this career path hand in hand with Ferraiuoli.
