Our motto is our mission — “Good for our kids, good for our Earth, and good for our communities.” We are passionate about helping kids develop into caring, creative, thoughtful individuals who possess positive self-images, celebrate differences, and practice inclusion. Our books promote social and environmental consciousness and empower children as they grow in their communities. GOOD FOR OUR KIDSOur selection of children's titles range from themes of environmentalism, self-esteem, and body image, non-traditional roles for girls, as well as empowering tales of animal rescue and protection, historical preservation, love and kindness. We also hold an annual Young Authors-Creative Kids (YACK!) writing contest: every manuscript is published online as a free digital book, providing kids a way to share their writing with others, and the winning author's book is then published under the YACK! imprint. The author gets to select a non-profit to benefit from the sale of the book.GOOD FOR OUR ENVIRONMENTIn addition to environmental topics, the production of our books is green. All books are printed locally in the USA on high quality recycled paper. When possible, the books go directly from production to the consumer, keeping the ecological imprint as small as possible. We are also partners with Eco-Libris, an organization that plants trees in developing countries; by adding one dollar to a book order, book buyers can help replenish forests around the world! GOOD FOR OUR COMMUNITIESWe attempt to promote the sale of books in small independent bookstores, which often are important centers of local communities. Eifrig Publishing and many of our authors are collaborating with organizations with donations from sales (eg. to food pantries, SPCAs, pre-schools). Our authors themselves form a community, with collaborations between authors to share skills (eg. marketing, illustrating), as well as cross-promoting one another's books.
Pickleball Addict
I found pickleball while recovering from shoulder surgery in 2016, and it has gotten me through many a trial and tribulation since then. My love of the sport really took off in 2018, when I found out I had breast cancer the day after signing up for my first big tournament, the 2018 US Open in Naples. Pickleball became my good vibe go-to through my recovery and three months after my diagnosis, I was cancer-free and playing my heart out in Florida. SInce then, I have discovered the joy of teaching pickleball and sharing it in new communities, like in Berlin, Germany (eg. at the World Special Olympics in 2023) and in Croatia, where I am supporting the locals in growing their community and teaching the teachers there. For over two years I was sponsored by Gamma, but now am excited to be part of Bread & Butter Pickleball's team. Love my Loco!!
Executive Director
Random Acts of Reading (RoAR) is designed to support children by providing exciting literacy projects. By partnering with quality publishers with inclusive, diverse, and educational titles, we aim to promote literacy and the joy of reading with young students, inspiring them to write and share their own empowering stories, as well.Reading is essential to the development of young creative minds, and while several wonderful non-profit organizations exist that help provide books to kids in need, RoAR goes one step further. Not only do we provide an opportunity for children to get books, but we also provide opportunities to meet authors and artists and be encouraged to explore their own writing and illustrating skills. This gives children a richer experience and a connection to writing itself. RoAR will help fill this gap by providing opportunities for students to experience diverse reading-related educational programs. In addition, all students will be invited to participate in a writing contest (YACK!) to provide a forum for them to share their own creative stories. Proceeds from the sales of the winning books will benefit non-profits. With the winning authors making the decisions about where the proceeds from their stories should go, we are empowering a new generation to become active contributors to their communities.

Knütes is family business with innovative ideas for staying warm and comfortable. Our goal today is still the same as it was when we started out..."To develop practical, functional, and environmentally sound outdoor and sports wear for both young and old."Quality, Design & EcologyWe decided to share our ideas and created Knütes to produce great outerwear the way we wanted it.The result is environmentally sound production (we use Polartec® 300 Recycled water-repellent fleece - made from at least 89% recycled plastic bottles - and produce locally) and a line of hardwearing products of real quality, which are made to last more than one season and to be passed down from kid to kid. While our patented doubleglove® still stands out after 10 years as a true innovation in the field of outdoor clothing, our baby and children's line provides the best in warmth, comfort, and functionality for an age group otherwise widely neglected by other outdoor clothing manufacturers. www.knuetes.com
