About Stephanie Chen
Engineering origin story: I was always inspired to learn by games. Unknowingly, my obsession with ๐๏ธ The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis' cute blue creatures sparked this interest that I would carry through the years. In middle school, Neopets contests ๐พ inspired me to learn Javascript and CSS to make the coolest profile page. In high school, I made my first real web app in PHP (it was the 00's), a Trading Card Game devoted to Pixar ๐ค ๐ with hundreds of members. I created puzzles and games and automated their rewards so I could scale easily. From then on I was hooked on the power of programming and inspired by fun and learning! Since then I've tackled a variety of engineering challenges working at 3-person startups, consumer-centric companies, and two-sided marketplaces. I've led teams of full-stack engineers ranging from junior to senior/staff levels of experience. I love growing startups and building a great engineering culture while contributing to making our society a better place.
