Curently I am working as a bioinformatician at CeCaVa where we develop cancer vaccines. Beforehand I studied bioinformatics at the University of Tübingen for roughly 5 years. While I learned mainly just the basics of biology, computer science and bioinformatics in my bachelor studies, I was able to tailor my studies more closely to my interests in my masters' and subsequently focused on data science and visualization (computer science/bioinformatics) as well as immunology (biology). Additionally I worked as a research assistant in the group of Jun.-Prof. Dräger from April 2020 to June 2022 to gain valuable practical experience. In Jun.-Prof. Dräger's group I mainly helped in the development and maintenance of tools developed by or with the draeger lab such as JSBML or EscherConverter. I finished my studies in bioinformatics with my master thesis under the supervision of Jun.-Prof. Michael Krone and Dr. Martin Schenk. This master thesis is based on a previous research project in which I developed and implemented a workflow to find patterns in multivariate intensive care surveillance (ICU) data inside of a preexisting tool of Jun.-Prof. Krone's group. The goal of this master thesis is to implement an appropriate visualization for the pattern detection workflow and further extend the aforementioned tool.
