-Manage the group of technicians that install, operate and maintain the Hawaii Network Service (HNS) transport, to include both legacy and new technology equipment to include: CISCO routers, switches, DS0-DS3 TDM multiplexers, OCxxx Fujitsu Factr, CISCO ONS 15454 SONET/DWDM Transport, Ciena 6500 Packet Optical platform transport. Encryption devices include; Thales DS1-OCxxx, KG340, KIV-7M.-Work with engineers and logistics to design and implement complex networking solutions and implement Engineering Work Orders and Service Orders (EWO/SO) actions to be executed by maintenance/operations technicians. Assist and coordinate Service Order actions to install or deactivate services. - Coordinate and respond to questions from DoD customers, Project Managers, Logistics, Engineers and field technicians on the ongoing implementation activities to migrate services from the legacy equipment to the new IP based transport equipment solution.- Identify, resolve, and provide options to resolve and/or escalate implementation activity issues to leadership that could affect overall project schedule-Provide technical documentation, administrative support for implementation activities and technical supervision during major fault incidents.- Analyzes monthly performance data to identify trends in performance, maintainability and reliability. As the HNS NOC Tier II Lead Analyst, I provide functional guidance, technical supervision and On-The-Job Training (OJT) to other team members during major fault incidents, helping to quickly restore services.- As the Lead member of the HNS NOC team that oversees DoD data/voice networking assets throughout the Pacific Region; providing customer service, technical assistance, configuration and fault-isolation functions across all networks and platforms that includes supporting 40,000 POTS users and over 3100 voice, TDM, SONET, DWDM, VoIP and IP data users across the state of Hawaii. - Manage the team that analyzes and resolves circuit path, connectivity and routing issues using network management systems to identify faulty or downed network components. Assists in re-route circuits to restore services of high priority customers and performs necessary changes to mitigate outages. Performs network equipment backups and configuration changes.- Responsible for daily operations of a complex mesh of networks using various support tools Network Management System (NMS), Equipment Management System (EMS) and Network Elements (NE).
