Upload and download images on a disc for requesting departments, patients and/or Physician offices per signed records request. Answer incoming calls regarding records or transfer to appropriate department. Assist Radiologist with administrative duties if needed. Submit pediatric radiology studies to Aris after hours and on the weekend including any prior applicable studies done. Create on call schedule for the night. Call appropriate on call tech in for stat procedures that are needed to be done in the ER or inpatient.

Answer incoming calls for Radiology department. Stock, flip, prep, and clean patient rooms and work stations. Transport in patients and ER patients from room to Radiology area for scan. Work up the ER and in patient board on orders by calling Nurse station to initiate proper prep is made. Work on biopsy and out patient orders to ensure correct study is being done and all prior paperwork and prior images are viewed with the Radiologist before the case. Escort patients to and from scan or exam room and verify identity and ask pertinent health history. Keep tabs on inventory and initiate supply order list.

Work quick and back registration desk for all patients checking into the emergency department.Collect demo info from EMT workers for patients coming through on Ambulance.Answer and handle admitting tasks which include: Transferring, admitting, discharging, and obtaining auth if applicable.Verify demographics, contacts, and insurance eligibility.Go over patient insurance coverage and collect co-pay, co-insurance, or self-pay amounts.Document accounts and get signatures on appropriate paperwork.Scan all patient signed documents, insurance info/cards, and identification.

Consistently monitor traffic of reports through Powerscribe to ensure reports are sent in a timely manner. Liaison between the Radiologist and transcriptionists to address the needs relating to the transformation of dictation to final report.Scan charts into Intergy making sure that all paperwork and reports are labeled correctly.Train and designate job duties and tasks relating to the front office.Prepare office meeting memos and areas of concern that need to be addressed.Assist in check-in as needed: Verify patient demographics and insurance verification in a timely fashion.Answer incoming calls: Verify and schedule appointments as well as remind patients of prep instructions.

Schedule appointments for: MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Mammogram, Ultrasound, Bone Density, and Vascular studies.Verify and/or enter all patient demographics and insurance info.Request authorization if required, making sure to include accurate ICD-9 and CPT codes for maximum reimbursements.Inform patient or Doctor’s office of appropriate protocol and prep prior to their test.Answer switchboard with a high volume calls and transfer to departments.Handle CODE phone and urgent calls, overhead page and inform other departments.H. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for all out patient’s coming to Lifetime Cancer Screening.Request authorization from referring Physician for all appointments. Making sure to include specific diagnosis and procedure codes.Balance and AR batch for the week end deposit.Review patient accounts for possible credits, due to overpayment.
