I am a Director of Arup in Ireland and Office Manager in Galway and Limerick. A graduate of the University of Cork, I have over 35 years’ experience across a broad variety of projects in Ireland, UK and USA. I am a chartered civil engineer in Ireland and UK, and a licensed professional engineer in USA. My current role is as a leader of large infrastructure projects, mainly at the pre-planning phase. This involves managing multidisciplinary design teams in parallel with environmental teams, whilst also providing strategic advice on how best to deliver our clients’ needs and project objectives through the various planning processes. I have experience in the design of highways, drainage, compulsory acquisition of lands, environmental impact assessment and appropriate assessment with a particular focus on transport projects.
