I am a culture sector engagement and education professional with a museums specialism and experience in developing partnership programmes/networks and managing events and projects. I am also a STEM Ambassador for RTC North, a trained Arts Award Adviser at all levels and a mentor for the Museums Association AMA scheme. I was a Creative Agent through Creative Partnerships 2008 to 2011.I am passionate about connecting children and young people to arts and culture, particularly around history, science and engineering, and joining organisations together to support more connected outward facing working practice. I have worked in museums education and engagement since 2001 and have worked with the wider arts and culture sector through my roles in Bridge organisations between 2013 and 2020. I am experienced in working across the North East region, developing inter-organisational partnership programmes and strategic approaches, and have a strong network of contacts. In March 2019, I completed an MSc Degree in Management and Leadership through Northumbria University, gaining a distinction and a Pro Vice Chancellor Award. It was a very practical qualification and aided my knowledge and application of current thinking around management, strategy and leadership development.
