Responsible for providing financial data for the filing of annual reports to regulatory state agencies and for the preparation of the tax returns on a diversified consumer lending company. Created and implemented an automated general ledger system whereby the Company participated the applicable loans to a holding and funding company as part of a tax strategy to minimize state tax liability. Implemented the participation process effectively which increased the bottom line by over $1M in fiscal year 2002.Adapted the general ledger to provide financial statements per entity by state. Financial statements were done only on a consolidated basis prior to this time.Designed a process whereby applicable loans could be identified and segregated from the participation process.

Participated in the month-end closing, preparation of the financial package, GL account analysis and reconciliations of a leasing company.Requested by the Corporate Office to remain after the closing of a division for the FDIC audit.Analyzed net investment general ledger accounts and cleared prior variances of approximately $600,000.Received recognition/bonus for resolving outdated large variances in net investment accounts.Analyzed and discovered the cause of a significant variance between the general ledger and sub-ledger on security deposits. This enabled a reversal of a $400,000 write-off and an adjustment to the system.Adapted models to solve these variances.Maintained various general ledger account reconciliations with no variances.Involved in the transition of our financial reporting department to the Corporate Office.
